Kakinada

I just showered, into the bathroom floor.

I'm up on the roof covered in only a towel. Its nice and sad here.

Complete mix of different people of the same blood. All different levels, called caste system. Equates to if you are poor, you must stay poor and do menial tasks.

Our host here, he doesn't stay here in this house, between him and his wife, they make equivelent of $450 per month. On top of that, the pay for their son to go to school.

And they aren't the POOR people. There are people here who exist on NOTHING.

But, from what I can tell, they are a proud people (except for they very poor). And everyone is super nice.

By the way, I have no luggage. It stayed in Mumbai, so I have to wait for it. 2 days, no clothes no wet wipes for my tender touchie.

Oh, speaking of toilets, all the shitters have squirt hoses next to them to wash your ass. I am all for it except the sharing hose part. Hahaha

I am in

Mumbai, or Bombay if you once were a part of the British Empire.

Traveling to Kakinada India for work stuff. thought "what a great opportunity for my blog".

Landed here about 10.30pm. Traveling with a buddy from work. Fortunately we had a service meet us at the hotel, otherwise I don't know what I would have expected.

Driving around here is something to see. Paint is a waste of money, and the car horn is the most critical piece of equipment. Imagine a parking full of cars, and then imagine all those cars are moving at the same time driving whichever way they want, and somehow, nobody crashes. That is what is was like.

The hotel we stayed in for less than 10 hours is nice. Food is an adventure. I had something that was very yummy though.

We are headed to local airport to fly to Visagputnamsomethingorother (Visag seems to be the common name).

Went to Palacios today

Dad, Elizabeth, and I went to Palacios today. We had lunch and took measurements on the property.

Eventually, there will be a house here.

Some of the pictures are from downtown Palacios.

It is a slow pace of life there.

This made me laugh

Today, while at lunch, one of my party asked the waitress "What's the soup of the day?". She said, "I don't know, its different every day."

Poor thing. She was serious. It took all I had to hold back laughter.
