Sunday!

Pops and I went to San Diego for the weekend. Went to visit my brother Mike and sister Kelly. We had a nice time, although it was a short visit. We went to the San Diego Zoo. I always like the zoo. Like to see all the animals.
So after we are home, I am here watching the Discovery Health Chanel. Very sad documentary about a little girl born with a disfigured face. One eye, no ears or mouth. She is so deformed she has to be fed through a tube. It is very sad.
This show makes me think how many of us take our looks for granted. So many of us complain about how we look. We complain about how fat we are, or short, or we have bad hair, etc. Yet so many of us are physically attractive people, and even then we complain. Very sad. Even as I write this during the same show, there are commercials about fat loss pills, and better living through chemistry, and for so many of us, our lives can be improved by simple healthy living styles.
Oh what a world we live in. And our media makes us human lemmings more interested in celebrity rag magazines, than focusing on the more important things in our lives. And all we do is worry about what others have, and if the grass is greener on the other side. I know it is a bit late for a New Years Resolution, but I am making it now. I am going to try to stop complaining about what I don't have, and what other people think (if they don't like it, they don't matter anyways, right?). I am going to try to live more in the moment. I need to be thankful for what I have, what I have accomplished, and what I can do personally to improve my life. I need to accept the crap that has happened in my life. Hell, how can we experience happiness without some sort of misery? If everything was level, happy and sad wouldn't be a sensation, and nobody would TRY.
Two P.S.'s. 1) thanks to my friend Carri for reminding me that I don't have to discuss just my daily life, but also my thoughts. 2) the reason for some of the goofy format in my blogs is because I am sending from my phone email, but i try to fix them as I can.
Please try to remeber the words of Beethoven when he said, " What?"
